What’s different this year from last year? Could it be the excitement of graduating, the new beginning of 2009, or the changes of the school year? On April 20th, 2009, the First Philadelphia Eagles (Girls Softball Team) won against PACS, a league that haven’t lost a single game since 4 years ago. All the girls came in the game with courage, determination, and great sportsmanship and won the game by 1 point. The Girl’s Softball Eagles all played their parts, and made up for previous mistakes in practices or in the game. The feeling of winning to PACS was noble and it showed, but we couldn’t celebrate just yet, it was only 1 of many games we had to win against any charter school. The Girl’s Softball team had won before, but what makes this year different? What is giving the Girl’s Softball Eagles a boost up to work harder?

I think that what makes this year so different is that this is the last year all of you guys play together as a team. Congrats on the win. Hope that you guys can go the whole season undefeated. All I have to say is work your hardest and play hard cause it’s your last year together and you wanna finish the season with a bang. LOL!!!! Go EAGLES!!!

Thanks for the comment. The first game we played we lost, but as of right now we're 4-1 . We try our hardest, and work to the fullest to try to win all our games. Maybe this being the last year is why we work so hard, but then again , the 7th grade don't graduate this year and they still work as hard as the 8th grade. And finishing the season with a bang is one of many things on the softball team's mind in the end. Ha-ha . Thanks.
